Now since the vegetable gardening has come to end for the season, you must start preparing the ground for the next year’s production. Repeated working with a garden can make a layer of compacted soil thus preventing root growth in the soil. So, in order to break up this compacted soil layer, plow the garden just once in a year. Spread the organic material just over the surface of the garden before plowing, this will help in reducing the soil compaction problem.
