Thinking hard how to splash your originality into garden? I have a very simple and economic way for you. The sun has broken through winter’s gloom and you feel a sense of renewal and, of course, a burning need to renew and improve your back yard or garden.

You might have turned pages of so many magazines to search statuaries that are affordable, but all in vain. Don’t worry I’ll suggest you to build your own statues which are free of cost.

Collect all big stones in your garden, which have smooth ends. Then choose the place where you want to set these statues. As shown in the pictures, you can create any shape of your choice by balancing stones and give your garden totally different and natural look that of a rock garden. If you want these statuaries to be permanent then simply join the rocks by making paste of mud or use adhesives, which are available in market.

(Thanks to my friend who send me these pictures as an e-mail.)

LA based architect’s Fung + Blatt Lawnchair will soon hit the market. The lawnchair in reality is a lawn in shape of a chair upholstered with rolled sod, a built-in “moisturizing” system that helps irrigate while avoiding run off. Weighing 25lbs, it’s not too heavy and two persons can easily move it.

I’m eagerly waiting for this conceptual lawnchair and wish to purchase it by winters so that basking in the sun could be more fun. If you are afraid of grass stains then I’m sorry to say, this won’t be your choice.

Most of the families do not own a lawn and they rely on potted plants to lend some greenery to their homes. Sadly, there is just one option to water these plants either from kitchen or bathroom, and in the process we leave a mess behind. But with the launch of outdoor sink it would be really easy to water plants.

This Chinese sink weighing about 20 pounds can be mounted over an outdoor spigot and has 40′ garden hose also. With slide open arrangement it gives the exact look of a sink. With handles it measures 28″ W x 17″ H x 16¾”. Priced at $80 it does not require any plumbing and it can be used to wash vegetables, repot plants, and washing garden tools.

The sink would help in making gardening fun as you need not fix a hose but just connect it to an outdoor spigot.

Sometimes you may see a giant crop in your farm or at times, you make giant crop with the help of hybrid. Imagine if your kitchen garden produces such huge pieces then? I think you will definitely change your mind to grow vegetables there and opt for farm.

A giant cabbage weighing 85-pound is being carried to Alaska’s fair at Palmer.

Hold on this is not a cabbage but Brussels sprouts. It is typically 2.5-4 cm diameter and here you can see the oversized sprout in the kid’s hand. It weighs 0.68 kg (1.5 lb), which is 50 times heavier than the average sprout. This Sprout was naturally growing in the garden of Carol Farley, a 41-year-old market gardener, in Devon, UK.

When we are talking about something unusual then how can we think that China’s name won’t be there in the list. Therefore, here are huge potatoes from Jiangsu, China. Each weighs 31 kg.
